ABOUT US

Rabbi Yossi Rubin is an Albany native, son of senior Chabad Rabbi of the Capital District, Rabbi Israel Rubin.  Upon completion of his studies, he was ordained at the Rabbinical College of America by leading Rabbis from America & Israel, including former chief Rabbi of Israel, Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu. Rabbi Yossi taught at Tiferet Bachurim in Morristown, NJ and has been involved in Jewish outreach throughout the world, including Europe, Israel and Former USSR. Leah Rubin was born in Brooklyn, New York, and grew up in the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s “backyard”, where she was imbued with a sense of mission and purpose to share her love for Judaism with her fellow Jews. Leah studied at the Beth Rivka Schools in New York, and spent two years in advanced studies at Beth Chana in Safed, Israel, graduating with a teaching certificate. She completed her higher education at Empire State College, majoring in Judaic studies. She taught middle school and high school level classes in Brooklyn and continues to teach Judaic studies in the Capital District.

Chabad can help plan for end-of-life and commemorate a Yartzeit of a loved one… from birth to death in Jewish tradition and practice.

Loaves of Love

A freshly baked Challah packaged with love and care. Each week volunteers deliver Challah to residents in the Southern Saratoga area. Whether in times of sadness or joy, there is always a reason to show that we care for one another. It may be to a new family who moved to town, recently had a baby, going through difficult times, or just to send a friendly shalom. Be sure to look out for you own, you never know when it will show. In addition, around each Jewish holiday, holiday gifts are distributed with a unique touch and meaningful message. Contact us to volunteer or if you know of someone who would appreciate a Challah.
